I’m the photographer behind Charles Preston Photography, based in the Dallas–Fort Worth area. I create clean, intentional images for people and brands ready to show up with confidence.
Whether you need a headshot that feels like you, branding photos that tell your story, or images that bring your vision to life, my goal is to make the process feel easy and the final photos feel worth showing off.
And if you’re thinking, “I’m awkward in front of the camera,” you’re in good company. You don’t need to know how to pose or practice your serious face in the mirror. I’ll guide you through the session, help you get comfortable, and make sure we capture images you’re proud to share.

One professionally retouched image per person. A $750 minimum applies to dedicated bookings for fewer than five people. Location, studio and travel costs will be discussed in your quote.

Individual sessions include posing guidance and an image selection gallery. Studio rental is included up to $100 per hour for the session time included, except for the Essential Headshot package, which does not include studio rental. A 50% nonrefundable retainer is required to secure your session. Final images are delivered within 7–10 business days after your selections. Additional studio costs and rush delivery are discussed before booking.

Where will my session take place?
Your session can take place at a studio of your choice. Studio rental is included up to $100 per hour during the session time included in your package, except for the Essential Headshot package. Studio rental is not included with Essential Headshot; any studio costs will be discussed before booking.
If your preferred studio costs more than $100 per hour or has additional rental requirements, I’ll discuss any extra costs with you before booking the space.

What should I wear?

Wear something that makes you feel confident and reflects the look you want to create. Solid colors, well-fitted pieces, and simple textures photograph beautifully and keep the focus on you.
Neutral colors like black, white, cream, gray, tan, and brown are a great starting point. For professional headshots, a blazer, button-down, or polished top creates a timeless look. For branding or lifestyle photos, choose pieces that reflect your personality and your brand.
Try to avoid large logos, busy patterns, and anything that feels uncomfortable. If you’re unsure, bring a few options, and we can decide what works best.
Do you help with posing?
Absolutely. You don’t need modeling experience to get great photos. I’ll guide you through poses, expressions, and small adjustments throughout your session so you feel comfortable and look natural.
Can I bring more than one outfit?
Yes! You’re welcome to bring outfit options. The number of looks we can photograph will depend on the package you choose and the time available during your session.
How do I choose my photos?
After your session, you’ll receive a gallery to review and select your favorite images for editing. The number of final images included depends on your package. If you’d like more, additional images are available for purchase.
When will I receive my photos?
Your final edited photos will be delivered within 7–10 business days after you select your images from your gallery.
Need your photos sooner? Rush delivery may be available for an additional fee. Let me know your deadline before booking so we can discuss availability.
How will I receive my final photos?
Your final edited images will be delivered through an online gallery, where you can view and download them.
Is a retainer required to book?
Yes. A 50% nonrefundable retainer is required to secure your session.
What is your cancellation policy?
If you cancel your session, the retainer is nonrefundable.
Can I reschedule my session?
Yes. Rescheduling requests are accepted up to 7 days before your scheduled session. If you need to reschedule, please reach out as soon as possible.
Do you offer outdoor or on-location sessions?
If you have a location or a specific vision in mind, let me know when you inquire so we can discuss the details and any applicable location or travel fees.
Do you offer photo retouching?
Your selected images will be professionally edited for a polished, natural look. If you have specific retouching requests, let me know so we can discuss what’s included and whether additional fees apply.
What if I don’t know which package to book?
No worries. Tell me what you need the photos for, and I’ll help you choose the package that fits your goals.
